Reviews
The pub is an eclectic mix of traditional and quirky. We were given a warm welcome with our two dogs. The food was amazing. We had the Meze Platter to start. Then a Oyster Mushroom Burger and a Beef Burger, both with proper chunky chips. It was delicious. We will definitely be going back there.
I agree with the other comments regarding the customer service, it was very slow and the staff weren’t very attentive. The roast was nice but not the best, very thin gravy, just boiled veggie and the roasties tasted a bit stale. The beef and yorkshires were lovely however. The starters and dessert were nice (although we had to wait nearly 40 minutes for the dessert). Not sure I’ll be back for a roast anytime soon but I’d love to try dinner one evening!
A really well kept pub - just the two cask ales on this Tuesday lunchtime. The Facers Bitter is going down well accompanied with a Scotch Egg.
We were staying locally and called in a few times during our stay. Lovely pub, very dog friendly with an interesting menu. I had the Korean celeriac burger, the bap was a bit hard, so I left it, but the burger was very tasty. Some nice gins available & the beer garden is lovely.
Food is absolutely sensational! Every mouthful brings out new flavour. I might sound dramatic, but I am visiting from Australia and this is the best food I've had in the UK so far I had the duck confeit. The pork and apple sausages my partner ate were also excellent
